Understanding GAF Warranties
GAF offers tiered warranty coverage based on the contractor's certification level with GAF:
- Standard Limited - Basic coverage on any GAF shingle install. We register every PSS install at this tier.
- System Plus - Enhanced coverage when the install uses a full GAF system (shingles + accessories) and the contractor holds GAF Certified status.
- Silver Pledge - Requires a GAF Certified contractor.
- Golden Pledge - Highest coverage; requires Master Elite contractor installation.
PSS installs the GAF Timberline lineup to GAF's published specs and registers the standard limited warranty on every job. If you specifically need Silver or Golden Pledge coverage, we can quote the project alongside a contractor who holds the matching GAF certification - whichever path makes sense for the warranty you want.
Our Recommendation for Florida
For most Lake County homes, we recommend Timberline HDZ shingles. They offer the best balance of durability, appearance, wind resistance, and value. For homes in hail-prone areas or those seeking insurance discounts, Timberline AS II is worth the upgrade.
